From cradle to cot – how the bed grows with your child
For the first few months, many babies sleep soundly in a cradle or bedside crib, where proximity and peace are paramount. As the child grows, a cot – also known as a crib – becomes the natural next step.
An important feature of a cot is the ability to adjust the base as the child develops. Initially, the base is placed at the highest level, making it easy to lift your baby and sparing your back in everyday life.
When the child starts to be able to pull themselves up, the base is lowered to the next level to ensure that the child does not fall over the edge. Later, when the child can stand up and move around more, the lowest level is used for maximum safety.
When the child gets older and can crawl over the side themselves, it's time to remove the side, transforming the bed into a junior bed or toddler bed. This way, you get a flexible solution that follows your child from the first months and well into childhood.
