About the product
Gefion is a functional and timeless high bed in Scandinavian design, created to make use of the space in the children's room in a calm and well-considered way. With ample clearance under the bed, there is space for play, focused activities and practical everyday solutions.
The space under the bed can be furnished with a desk, shelving unit, wardrobe or a cosy nook for play and relaxation. A flexible solution that gives the child their own little space – without taking up more room.
Gefion is constructed in an extra sturdy quality, providing stability and reassurance in everyday life. The bed stands solidly on its own and requires no wall mounting, and is of course tested and approved according to current safety standards.
Gefion is part of Manis-h’s flexible building system and can always be adapted when needs change. The bed can be made lower, rebuilt or placed directly on the floor to suit the child's age and everyday life. If a gentler start is desired, a mid-high bed can later be built into a high bed.

Safety & Requirements
Safety without compromise – your child’s sleep is not where to cut corners
All our beds are tested and approved according to European requirements by the Danish Technological Institute:
- Cot beds: EN 716 (European standard for safety in cot beds).
- High and bunk beds: EN 747 (openings, distances, stability, etc.).
- Changing tables: Tested for stability, surfaces, etc. according to the applicable European safety standard EN 12221
- Textiles & mattresses: OEKO-TEX® – tested for harmful chemicals.
Important for you:
- Pay attention to mattress height in relation to the bed rail/side – we mark it clearly so your child always sleeps safely.
- The surface is painted with harmless, water-based lacquer.
- All distances and openings comply with the rules to prevent strangulation and entrapment hazards.
- The bed is tested for everyday use – including bedtime stories with mum or dad.
- Always read the instructions carefully and retighten screws/bolts regularly.
Do you need documentation? Write to us and we will be happy to send you a copy of the applicable test certificates.
If in doubt, always choose the documented safe solution.
Children cannot check standards themselves – it is our and your responsibility.
