Medusa House bed

The house bed is a low and secure children's bed, created for a calm transition from a cot to the first proper bed. The simple Scandinavian design with a roof creates a cosy and sheltered setting where the child can relax, play and feel secure.

The low height makes it easy for even the smallest children to climb in and out of bed, while the stable construction provides a secure base for both sleep and play. The roof adds a soft den-like feeling that invites imagination and togetherness in everyday life.

The house bed can be fitted with bed guard rails and a backrest for extra security in the first years. As part of Manis-h’s flexible building system, the bed can later be extended into a high bed, bunk bed or bed with storage – as the child's needs change.

A stylish and child-friendly choice that fits naturally into the children's room and provides space for both calm and play.

Design your own house bed in our configurator and create a secure and flexible solution that grows with your child.

Safety without compromise – your child’s sleep is not the place to cut corners

All our beds are tested and approved according to European requirements by the Danish Technological Institute:
- Cots: EN 716 (European standard for safety in cots).
- High and bunk beds: EN 747 (openings, distances, stability, etc.).
- Changing tables: Tested for stability, surfaces, etc. according to the applicable European safety standard EN 12221
- Textiles & mattresses: OEKO-TEX® – tested for harmful chemicals.

Important for you:

- Pay attention to mattress height in relation to the bed rail/side – we mark it clearly so your child always sleeps safely.
- The surface is painted with harmless, water-based lacquer.
- All distances and openings comply with regulations to avoid the risk of strangulation and entrapment.
- The bed is tested for everyday use – including bedtime stories with mum or dad.
- Always read the instructions carefully and retighten screws/bolts regularly.

Do you need documentation? Write to us and we will be happy to send you copies of the applicable test certificates.

If in doubt, always choose the documented safe solution.

Children cannot check standards themselves – it is our and your responsibility.
