Slatted base

Spruce slat base – solid support and healthy ventilation for your child's bed

A good night's sleep starts with the right foundation – and this is where a spruce slatted base plays an important role. This robust slat base is made of strong spruce wood, providing stable and secure support under the mattress, night after night.

The slats are beautifully arranged on a band, so you can easily and correctly install them with the optimal distance. This not only ensures even support, but also good air flow under the mattress. The natural ventilation helps to keep the sleeping environment healthy and dry - something that is especially important when small children sleep many hours a day.

The strength of the spruce provides a comfortable and supportive base that adapts to the body's movements. This means that the mattress has the best conditions to provide the support your child needs.

A slat base like this is not just a practical part of the bed – it helps create a safe environment for restful sleep and a healthy sleeping environment. And as a mother, you know that good sleep is one of the best things you can give your child.

NB. Please note that the 70cm wide base only fits a bed with a length of 160cm.

Safety without compromise – your child’s sleep is not where to cut corners

All our beds are tested and approved according to European requirements by the Danish Technological Institute:
- Cots: EN 716 (European safety standard for cots).
- High and bunk beds: EN 747 (openings, distances, stability, etc.).
- Changing tables: Tested for stability, surfaces etc. in accordance with the applicable European safety standard EN 12221
- Textiles & mattresses: OEKO-TEX® – tested for harmful chemicals.

Important for you:

- Pay attention to the mattress height in relation to the bed rail/side – we mark it clearly so your child always sleeps safely.
- The surface is painted with harmless, water-based lacquer.
- All distances and openings comply with regulations to prevent strangulation and entrapment hazards.
- The bed is tested for everyday use – including bedtime stories with mum or dad.
- Always read the instructions carefully and retighten screws/bolts regularly.

Do you need documentation? Write to us and we will be happy to send you a copy of the applicable test certificates.

If in doubt, always choose the documented safe solution.

Children cannot check standards themselves – it is our and your responsibility.
