Curved slatted base

A good night’s sleep starts with the right foundation – and this is where a curved birch slatted base makes a noticeable difference. The flexible slats made from curved birch provide a more responsive and comfortable support, working together with the mattress to create the best conditions for restful sleep.

Birch wood is known for its strength and flexibility, and the curved slats adapt to the body’s natural movements and weight distribution. This creates a comfortable and ergonomic support that helps the mattress perform at its very best – night after night.

The slats are mounted in flexible holders that ensure a stable construction while also adding extra comfort and suspension. The open structure beneath the mattress also allows for excellent ventilation, enabling air to circulate freely. This contributes to a healthier and more comfortable sleeping environment with less build-up of moisture and heat.

A curved birch slatted base is therefore much more than just a practical part of the bed – it helps create the ideal conditions for safe, calm, and comfortable sleep. Because when your child sleeps well, the whole family rests easier.

Safety without compromise – your child’s sleep is not where to cut corners

All our beds are tested and approved according to European requirements by the Danish Technological Institute:
- Cots: EN 716 (European safety standard for cots).
- High and bunk beds: EN 747 (openings, distances, stability, etc.).
- Changing tables: Tested for stability, surfaces etc. in accordance with the applicable European safety standard EN 12221
- Textiles & mattresses: OEKO-TEX® – tested for harmful chemicals.

Important for you:

- Pay attention to the mattress height in relation to the bed rail/side – we mark it clearly so your child always sleeps safely.
- The surface is painted with harmless, water-based lacquer.
- All distances and openings comply with regulations to prevent strangulation and entrapment hazards.
- The bed is tested for everyday use – including bedtime stories with mum or dad.
- Always read the instructions carefully and retighten screws/bolts regularly.

Do you need documentation? Write to us and we will be happy to send you a copy of the applicable test certificates.

If in doubt, always choose the documented safe solution.

Children cannot check standards themselves – it is our and your responsibility.
