About the product
The Tor children’s bed is made in Denmark and combines solid quality with classic Danish design. A simple and timeless children’s bed that provides a reassuring start in the child’s room and fits naturally into the home.
The bed comes with a slatted bed base and bed frame and is made from solid beech wood and MDF. The soft, rounded edges create a light and welcoming look and highlight the bed’s well-considered construction, made to last for many years.
Tor is part of Manis-h’s flexible modular system and can be adapted as the child’s needs change. The bed can be extended with additional accessories and is also available in widths of 120 and 140 cm. If you start with a 90 cm bed, it can later be extended into a wider model.
The bed is available with beech legs and in a selection of many beautiful colours, making it easy to create a personal and harmonious children’s room.
Design your own Tor bed in our configurator, or choose the size and colour and add the bed directly to your basket.

Safety & Requirements
Safety without compromise – your child’s sleep is not where to cut corners
All our beds are tested and approved according to European requirements by the Danish Technological Institute:
- Cot beds: EN 716 (European standard for safety in cot beds).
- High and bunk beds: EN 747 (openings, distances, stability, etc.).
- Changing tables: Tested for stability, surfaces, etc. according to the applicable European safety standard EN 12221
- Textiles & mattresses: OEKO-TEX® – tested for harmful chemicals.
Important for you:
- Pay attention to mattress height in relation to the bed rail/side – we mark it clearly so your child always sleeps safely.
- The surface is painted with harmless, water-based lacquer.
- All distances and openings comply with the rules to prevent strangulation and entrapment hazards.
- The bed is tested for everyday use – including bedtime stories with mum or dad.
- Always read the instructions carefully and retighten screws/bolts regularly.
Do you need documentation? Write to us and we will be happy to send you a copy of the applicable test certificates.
If in doubt, always choose the documented safe solution.
Children cannot check standards themselves – it is our and your responsibility.
